Bone Broth is amazing Medicine. It helps with gut, immune, bone, and optimizing health! Here’s my recipe that includes the familiar items with extra botanicals and medicinal, culinary herbs to maximize the anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, and anti-microbial effects. Use organic grass-fed beef or organic free-range chicken bones. You can find them in grocery freezers or you can ask the butcher to save you some bones! 


- 4 lb bones
- 4 large carrots
- 4 large celery stalks
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 medium leek
- 4 tablespoons of ACV (apple cider vinegar)
- 1/2 cup of shiitake mushrooms
- 1 tsp of: turmeric, ginger, burdock, thyme, rosemary, Himalayan sea salt, peppercorns
- 20 cups/5 qts of water

Bring to boil, then simmer. Enjoy! Freeze and keep on hand for immune boosting times or add to smoothies for a protein & mineral boost. 🥣🌿
